A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE COLLEGE

Kunja Bihari College owes its genesis and name to the candid and sincere efforts of Late Dr. Banshidhar Panda, the son-of-the-soil scientist of Odisha. A native of Madhuban under Barang Block, Late Dr Panda had been inspired by his father to provide facilities for higher education for the populace of the neighbourhood of Barang in particular and the adjoining areas in general. Accordingly, the institution had been named after Kunja Bihari, the father who nurtured this noble idea, by his illustrious son Banhsidhar.

Of course, this is not to deny the hard work the local gentlemen have put in for the inception and growth of the institution. As it happens everywhere, Kunja Bihari College also began with the noble endeavour of a group of selfless individuals, as a realization of their long-cherished dream to have an institution of higher learning ..
